The 2012 Victory Valley Royals School’s Basketball tournament could not have asked for a better climax, as scores turned out to witness the Linden Technical Institute (LTI) lifting the championship trophy, following an entertaining 63 – 50 points victory over the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School (Multi).

It was the great Michael Jordan who said “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships” - a statement which is very applicable for today finals of the eighth Victory Valley Royals Schools Basketball Championship which will be contested between the Linden Technical Institute (LTI) and Christianburg Wismar Secondary (Multi) at the Mackenzie Sports Club Hard Court at 14:30 hours.

After a round of intriguing contest and upsets, the 8th Victory Valley Royals School’s basketball championship is down to its final four teams. In today’s semi-finals, the Linden Technical Institute (LTI) will play Linden Foundation Secondary (LFS) in the first game at 14:30 hours while game two brings together defending champions Mackenzie High School (MHS) and Christianburg Wismar Secondary School (Multi).

The Linden Technical Institute (LTI) defeated Wisburg Secondary 51 – 15 to keep their unbeaten record intact while Mackenzie High School outclassed New Silvercity Secondary 53 – 22 to secure their first win, when the 2012 Victory Valley Royals School’s Basketball Championships continued on Friday last.

 Junior National Power Forward - Linden Fraser scored 30 points while hard playing shooting guard Emanuel Archibald netted a tournament high 37 points as they helped the Linden Technical Institute and Christianburg Wismar Secondary School (Multi) respectively to convincing wins in this year’s Victory Valley Royals School’s Basketball Championships.
